South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -August 25, 2006 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearing <br />() continued... <br />corridor and LaSalle Square. <br />We, the undersigned (and attached <br />signatures) urge the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission to table the vote <br />to expand the Airport TIF northward to <br />include the Portage Prairie development at <br />this time. Further, when the issue is <br />revisited, if the Commission decides to <br />expand the Airport TIF boundaries <br />northward, it should also extend them <br />southward to include LaSalle Square and the <br />surrounding area of Lincoln Way West. <br />We also request the Redevelopment <br />Commission hold hearings in the LaSalle <br />Square area to get the input of neighbors, <br />business owners and all stakeholders as to <br />where the boundaNies should be extended <br />south of Lincoln Way. <br />There were 127 signatures on the petition. <br />The petition was passed to all <br />Commissioners for their viewing. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission acknowledged receipt of the <br />remonstrance from Mr. Jerry Niezgodski. <br />Mr. King offered staff an opportunity to REBtrrTAL FROM STAFF <br />rebut the arguments made in the Public <br />Hearing. <br />Mr. Inks: There are a couple of points I'd <br />like to comment on.
