Airport Economic Development Area <br />continue ... <br />Mr. VUitwer noted that Resolution No. 2254 <br />expands the boundaries of the Airport <br />Economic Development Area with <br />Expansion Area No. 21 for the southeast <br />portion of Portage Prairie and adds property <br />to the acquisition list. A public hearing is set <br />for August 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. <br />Upon a motion by King, seconded by Mr. <br />Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted for filing Resolution <br />No. 2254 and set a public hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2254 for 10:00 a.m., August <br />18, 2006. <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />Agreement By and Between the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, Acting By and <br />Through Its Redevelopment Commission <br />and Waggoner Farms Development, L.P. <br />Portage Prairie Development Phase I. <br />Mr. VUitwer noted that the Commission is <br />asked to approve a development agreement <br />with Waggoner Farms Development, L.P. for <br />development of Phase I of Portage Prairie. <br />The City of South Bend agrees to provide <br />$108,000 in conduit for the Metronet as well <br />as upgrade a lift station at a cost of $150,000. <br />The City will also purchase the right of way <br />for and build Dylan Drive at a cost of $1.65 <br />million. This investment in infrastructure by <br />the Commission will enable the developer to <br />build a 148,000 sft building opening Phase I <br />of Portage Prairie which will have a <br />minimum of 1 million sft of private <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED FOR FILING <br />RESOLUTION No. 2254 AND SET A PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON RESOLUTION N0.2254FOR <br />10:00 A.M., AUGUST 18, 2006 <br />35 <br />
