South Bend Central Development Area <br />() continued... <br />contract is divided into phases, the first of <br />which is field measurements and <br />determination of the entire project budget. <br />The Commission will have the opportunity to <br />review the final project budget before <br />proceeding with the construction document <br />preparation phase. <br />Mr. Peterson asked about ADG's <br />involvement in the bidding process for work <br />on the exterior. Mr. Lamle indicated that <br />ADG understands the Board of Public Works <br />will bid and award the facade work. ADG <br />will be a resource for answering questions <br />about the specifications. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional architectural services and <br />authorized staff to negotiate a contract with <br />ADG for the scope of services specified. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area (Appraisal of <br />412 S. Lafayette -former Enzyme <br />Research Bldg.) <br />Mr. Williams noted that the Commission <br />owns the former Enzyme Research property <br />at 312 S. Lafayette. In order to set a <br />disposition price for the property, two <br />appraisals are needed. Four proposals were <br />requested; three were received. Ralph <br />Lauver proposed to do the appraisal for a fee <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT <br />WITH ADG FOR THE SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />SPECIFIED. <br />14 <br />
