South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting -January 20, 2006 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) B. Public Hearings (6) Commission approval requested for Resolution No. 2217. Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the Commission approved Resolution No. 2217 determining to appropriate monies for the purpose of defraying the expenses of certain local public improvements for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2006, and ending December 31, 2006, including all outstanding claims and obligations, fixing a time when the same shall take effect. (Blackthorn Golf Course) (7) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2218, a supplemental appropriation resolution of the South Bend Redevelopment District. (Sample-Ewing Development Area) Mr. Inks noted that Resolutions No. 2218 through 2224 appropriate tax increment finance funds for use in their TIF districts. He noted that the Public Hearing file for Resolution No. 2218 is complete and contains the following: (1) A copy of Resolution No. 2207 determining to make the appropriation and setting the public hearing on Resolution No. 2218; (2) A copy of the Notice of Hearing; (3) A copy of Resolution No. 2218, the subject of the public hearing; (4) An affidavit from Carol Smith, Advertising Director of the South Bend Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing was published in that newspaper on January 6, 2006; (5) An affidavit from Richard Andrysiak, Classified Manager of the Tri- County News, that the Notice of Hearing was COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION N0.2217 DETERMINING TO APPROPRIATE MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF CERTAIN LOCAL PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY I, 2006, AND ENDING DECEMBER 3 I, 2006, INCLUDING ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS, FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT (BLACKTHORN GOLF COURSE) 16
