ORDINANCE NO. I � � O�° —�I AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $ 1,000,000 IN INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT FOR ADDITIONAL STREET PAVING AND INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL REQUIRED FOR EFFICIENT TRAFFIC FLOW IN 2011 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT A project pertaining to structural improvement has been identified of interest and benefit to the City of South Bend. This project includes investment in street paving to repair certain deficient street surfaces and the installation of a traffic signal required to enable efficient traffic flow on a main city artery. It is necessary to appropriate the funds to make this infrastructure investment expenditure. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows: Section I. The sum of$ 400,000.00 is hereby appropriated and set aside within Motor Vehicle Highway Fund#202 for purposes of investment in the street paving proj ects. Section II. The sum of$ 600,000.00 is hereby appropriated and set aside within Local Roads and Streets Fund#251 for purposes of investment in the street paving and traffic signal installation projects.
