ORDINANCE NO. �1,�`{--�I <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY <br /> LOCATED AT 2014 S. MICHIGAN ST., AND 2018 S. MICHIGAN ST., <br /> COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 3, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The property owners recently purchased the two single family dwellings without <br /> the knowledge that they were zoned as MU Mixed Use District. The finro homes <br /> were originally constructed as single family dwellings and were apparently used <br /> for many years for the purpose. However, the house located at 2014 S. Michigan <br /> Street was used for a period of time by Thompson-Wiseman Insurance Agency. <br /> However, the house has not been used for a commercial business for more than <br /> ten years, and is currently a functional single family dwelling. It is the intention of <br /> the property owners to occupy or rent both houses for the purpose for which they <br /> were originally constructed. It is requested that the properties be zoned of SF2- <br /> Single Family and Two Family District so the intended use can be conforming <br /> with the zoning. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City <br /> of South Bend, Indiana as follows: <br /> SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 9495-04, is amended, which ordinance is commonly <br /> known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the <br /> same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following <br /> described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of <br /> Indiana: <br /> Lot Number 57 as shown on the recorded plat of Bowman's 4th Addition to <br /> the City of South Bend, Indiana <br /> Lot Number 58 except 75 feet of the East End of said Lot as shown on the <br /> recorded plat of Bowman's 4th Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana <br /> be and the same is hereby established as SF-2 Single Family and Two Family <br /> District.. <br />
