South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting —July 26, 2011
pavilion was part of the original plan for the
upgrades for Century Center Island Park.
The current tent will be removed and given,
probably to the Park Department. The view
of Century Center from the East Bank is its
most attractive view. It's built to last.
Mr. Lamie noted that the greatest challenge
is the island itself. There is only one access
to it.
Mr. Downes asked for an explanation of the
illumination of the pavilion. Mr. Lamie
explained the pavilion will be made of a
Teflon - coated fiberglass. In the evening it
10
