hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125 . 00) per year to the <br /> Controller for each twenty-two (22) feet of the public <br /> streets occupied and used as a taxi stand. <br /> (2) The taxi stand license shall continue to be valid from <br /> year to year upon payment of the fee or until suspended or <br /> revoked pursuant to the provisions of this section and <br /> section 4-16 . <br /> (3) No taxi stand license shali may be transferred or <br /> assigned. <br /> (4) The stand for which such license shall be issued shall <br /> not encroach upon any part of the street (s) or curb (s) zoned <br /> or designated for any other purpose. <br /> (5) The taxi stand license may be revoked by the Controller <br /> for good cause shown after due notice to the taxi stand <br /> licensee and opportunity for a hearing held pursuant to <br /> section 4-16 . <br /> (o) Marking of taxi stands. The Department of Public works; or <br /> its designee shall mark all taxicab stands by appropriate <br /> painting of the adjacent curb and by affixing to the curb at each <br /> end of the stand a metal standard with the words "Taxicab Stand <br /> of " plainly stenciled upon the standard. <br /> (p) Use of taxi stands. All taxi stands may be occupied and used <br /> only by taxicabs belonging to or under the control of the <br /> particul company license holder to whom the standards are <br /> assigned for the full period of twenty-four (24) hours each day. <br /> All taxi stands shall always be available for use by the Police <br /> or Fire Departments of the City and subject to the rights of <br /> reasonable ingress and egress of the abutting property owner or <br /> lessee . Private or other vehicles for hire shall not at any time <br /> occupy the space upon the streets that have been established as <br /> taxicab stands . <br /> (q) Taxicabs awaiting employment to park only at stands; <br /> exceptions: <br /> (1) No owner, license holder, operator, or driver of any <br /> 19 <br />
