NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />b. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal from Easy <br />Picker Golf Products to provide equipment in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Blackthorn Golf Course) <br />c. Commission approval requested for <br />improvements to the Blackthorn Golf Course <br />pavilion in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />Mr. Rock explained that the pavilion needs to be <br />expanded. He noted that the Blackthorn staff are <br />confident that the improvements will result in at <br />least seven more golf outings this year, which <br />will more than pay for the improvements. Staff <br />has received proposals from three different <br />companies for each improvement to be made. <br />The proposals for the new awning are from City <br />Awning in the amount of $14,415; Affordable <br />Awning in the amount of $15,875; and Custom <br />Awning in the amount of $15,300. The <br />proposals for the concrete work are from <br />Precision Concrete in the amount of $3,066; John <br />Ward Concrete in the amount of $3,750; and LL <br />Gean Concrete in the amount of $4,000. The <br />proposals for the electrical work are from Trans <br />Tech in the amount of $3,200, Blackthorne <br />Electric in the amount of $3,420; and Koontz <br />Wagner in the amount of $4,125. Staff <br />recommends approving the proposals from City <br />Awning, Precision Concrete, and Trans Tech for <br />the improvements to the pavilion at Blackthorn <br />Golf Course in the total amount of $20,681. <br />-7- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM EASY PICKER GOLF PRODUCTS FOR <br />EQUIPMENT IN THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA (BLACKTHORN GOLF <br />COURSE) <br />
