NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
a. continued...
had previously provided the Commission with a
detailed booklet outlining the development
concept.
The pub is a full service restaurant that will
serve an Irish fare. It will be designed as a
Georgian classical traditional Irish kind of a
building. It will be basically laid out in suites
that have five different categories, two of them in
regards to the price points. In the larger suites,
there will be a corner pub that can ?told a keg if
you're entertaining. The furnishings will be
unique, in that they will be what would be found
in an up -scale hotel. The furniture will be solid
cherry and mahogany, with four poster beds and
armoires. Each suite will be decorated
differently. There will be no plastic laminates or
shagrugs. The pub will have seven meeting
rooms on the lower level to accommodate large
parties, weddings, banquets, etc. The building
will be very high tech with internet access, fax -
modem access and tele - conferencing. The
windows will be custom built in stained glass.
All of the bars and case fronts will be hand
carved in Ireland. The synergy that would be
created between the Inn and the Golf Course
would be very exciting. The building will have
conferencing centers on the upper floors. There
will be an exercise room with state -of -the -art
equipment. The staff will consist of Irish -
Americans, as well as, Irish immigrants. They
will go through the Guiness Training School in
Stanford, Connecticut. The chef will be trained
in Ireland to prepare authentic Irish cuisine.
-5-
