South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— September 28, 2001 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by Ms. <br />Jones and unanimously carried, the Commission <br />approved the Claims submitted September 28, <br />2001, and ordered the checks to be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1848 an application for <br />real property tax deduction for property <br />located at 918 S. Michigan Street in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />(Miami Auto Glass) <br />Tracie and Charles Fulmer, Jr. and Faye and <br />Charles Fulmer, Sr. are the owners and <br />operators of Miami Auto Glass. The business <br />is a family- owned, multi - generational <br />business providing full line glass <br />replacement, repair, and related services, <br />primarily for automobiles. They serve the <br />general public, insurance companies, auto <br />dealerships and body shops. <br />Miami Auto Glass is presently operating in a <br />1,144 square foot facility at 1430 Mishawaka <br />Avenue in the River Park area. They have <br />experienced consistent growth of their <br />business, especially during the last five years. <br />The combination of this growth and the <br />pending sale of their property to the <br />adjoining business, Time Systems, Inc., has <br />resulted in their agreement to purchase the <br />vacant lot at 916 South Michigan Street on <br />the northeast corner of the Ohio Street <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS SUBMITTED <br />SEPTEMBER 28,200 1, AND ORDERED THE CHECKS TO <br />BE RELEASED. <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS. <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS. <br />
