South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— September 28, 2001 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />i. Continued... <br />fee of $2,800 and from Appraisal Specialists <br />for a fee of $3,100. <br />Mr. Williams noted that the proposal from <br />FM Stone stipulates that it would be entitled <br />to interest on any unpaid amount as well as <br />attorney fees incurred in collection of fees. <br />The Commission does not pay interest and <br />will not agree to pay attorney fees. He <br />recommended that the proposal be amended <br />to strike the reference to charging interest <br />and attorney fees. <br />Upon a motion for separate approval by Mr. <br />Kahn, seconded by Mr. Faccenda and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />accepted the proposal from FM Stone <br />Commercial, as amended, and the proposal <br />from Appraisal Specialists for professional <br />services in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. (Appraisals - Area 2) <br />j. Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. (Surveys - Area 2) <br />The staff report stated that three proposals <br />were received for survey of the lots in Area <br />2. The first was from Danch, Hamer & <br />Associates for $5,250. The second was from <br />Lang, Feeney & Associates in the amount of <br />$5,040. The third was from Ed Fisher Land <br />Surveying Services for $6,000. The staff <br />recommended the Commission accept the <br />proposal from Lang, Feeney & Associates for <br />survey work for a fee of $5,040. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the proposal from <br />10 <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM FM <br />STONE COMMERCIAL, AS AMENDED, AND THE <br />PROPOSAL FROM APPRAISAL SPECIALISTS <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SAMPLE -EWING <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA. (APPRAISALS - AREA 2) <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM LANG, <br />FEENEY & ASSOCIATES FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />IN THE SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br />(SURVEYS - AREA 2) <br />
