South Bend Central Development Area <br />(Continued...) <br />(2) Continued... <br />Mr. Mathia distributed maps and reported <br />that in order to acquire property in the East <br />Bank area for parking to support future <br />development, appraisals and survey work <br />on the properties were necessary. The <br />requested appraisal and survey services are <br />for three properties on the southeast corner <br />of Sycamore and LaSalle Streets: <br />a. Paved lot on LaSalle east and <br />adjacent to 230 -237 Sycamore <br />b. Vacant lot west and adjacent to 312 <br />LaSalle. <br />c. Paved lot at 230 -237 Sycamore <br />The staff solicited proposals from a total of <br />four appraisers and received two proposals <br />for the three properties in the East Bank <br />area. One was from R. E. Pitts & Assoc. in <br />the amount of $2,250, and the other was <br />from Jerome E. Michaels for $2,000. Two <br />proposals are needed. Staff recommended <br />the Commission accept both of the proposals <br />for appraisal work in the East Bank area. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposals from R. <br />E. Pitts & Assoc. and Jerome E. Michaels <br />for professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area.
