South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — February 1, 2002 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />C. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(3) Public Hearing for Resolution No. 1867, a <br />resolution of the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission, <br />appropriating monies for the purpose of <br />defraying expenses of certain local public <br />improvements for the fiscal year <br />beginning January 01, 2002 and ending <br />December 31, 2002, including all <br />outstanding claims and obligations. <br />(Wayne St. Garage, Wayne St. Garage <br />retail space and the Palais Royale retail <br />spaces in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area) <br />Mr. Mathia explained that this appropriation <br />is for fund 424 which is used for expenses <br />for the Wayne St. Garage, its retail space <br />and the Palais Royale retail spaces. The total <br />allocation is $161,556. Mr. Mathia entered <br />the following items into the record: 1) A <br />copy of the Notice of Hearing; 2) a copy of <br />Resolution No. 1967; and 3) affidavits from <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County <br />News stating that the Notice of Hearing was <br />published in those newspapers on Friday, <br />January 18, 2002. <br />Ms. Jones opened the public hearing on PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 1867 <br />Resolution No. 1867 for anyone who wished <br />to speak. There was no one who wished to <br />speak. Ms. Jones closed the public hearing <br />for whatever action the Commission wished <br />to take. <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1867. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1867 <br />5 <br />
