s, i <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —March 1, 2002 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Tax Abatements <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1870 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 212 E. <br />LaSalle Street in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (SBL <br />Building Co., LLC) <br />Mr. Beitzinger gave the staff report on the <br />project. SBL Building Co., LLC (SBL) is <br />a recently formed Indiana limited liability <br />company composed of two member <br />limited liability companies, each of which <br />includes the equity owners of two South <br />Bend based law firms as their members: <br />DS Building Co., LLC, the members of <br />which are the shareholders of Konopa, <br />Reagan & Kenyon, PC and TH Building <br />Co., LLC, the equity owners of which are <br />the partners of Tuesley & Hall, LLP. <br />The proposed rehabilitation project is the <br />rehabilitation and conversion of the former <br />South Bend Orthopedics professional <br />offices at 212 E. LaSalle Street. The <br />building will be converted from a single <br />medical user and medical rehabilitation <br />offices into a more traditional multi -user <br />professional office building which will <br />house the offices of the two law firms. <br />Approximately, 1,750 sft. of unused space <br />(i.e. space not used by the two law firms) <br />will be made available to a third party for <br />lease. <br />rd <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS. <br />
