South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —April 5, 2002 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Special Commendation <br />(1) continued... <br />Mr. Caldwell thanked the Commission <br />for their kind words and expressed what <br />an honor it was to serve with the board, <br />and particularly the redevelopment staff. <br />He stated the board was blessed with a <br />great staff who have done a tremendous <br />job over the years and that it was <br />personally great to be part of it. Mr. <br />Caldwell then added that recognition <br />was clearly not necessary, but greatly <br />appreciated. <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Lease Amendment with Esprit Decor <br />in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />Mr. Williams reported that the space <br />requested in the lease amendment is <br />presently vacant and adjacent to Esprit <br />Decor. It is 305 sq ft and will be added <br />to the existing 2,091 sq ft of space <br />currently being leased by Esprit Decor. <br />The space will be rented at $6 per sq ft <br />through December 31, 2002, $9 per sq ft <br />through 2003 and $9.50 per sq ft through <br />2004. It was noted the amendment <br />extended the original lease term ending <br />date of March 31, 2003 to December 31, <br />2004. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded <br />by Mr. Faccenda and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission approved the <br />6 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE LEASE <br />AMENDMENT WITH ESPIRIT DECOR IN THE <br />SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br />
