South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Mr. Inks requested Item 6.1).1. be tabled <br />There were no objections and the <br />Commission tabled Item 6.1).1. <br />(2) Commission authorization requested <br />to publish the Notice of Intended <br />Lease of Property with publication <br />dates of May 24, 2002 and May 31, <br />2002 and receipt of bids at 10:00 a.m. <br />on June 21, 2002. <br />Mr. Inks requested Item 6.D.2. be tabled <br />There were no objections and the <br />Commission tabled Item 6.D.2. <br />(3) Commission approval requested pp q d for <br />Letter Agreement from Grauvogel & <br />Associates for industrial hygiene <br />services in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (Hotel LaSalle) <br />Mr. Mathia explained that several <br />private investors are looking at <br />purchasing the Hotel LaSalle and they <br />are looking to the City to assist them in <br />certain pre - development activities. <br />Asbestos was formerly used as a binder <br />during construction of buildings and it is <br />suspected that there is asbestos in the <br />Hotel LaSalle and that any developer <br />would need to have it abated.
