South Bend Medical Services District <br />There was no business in the South Bend <br />Medical Services District. <br />H. West Washington- Chapin Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Agreement For Professional Services <br />between the Redevelopment Commission <br />of the City of South Bend, South Bend <br />Heritage Foundation and Downtown <br />South Bend, Inc., and URS Corporation <br />d /b /a URS Corporation Americas in the <br />West Washington- Chapin Development <br />Area. <br />Mr. Inks reported that the contract is labeled <br />the Tippecanoe Commons Market Rate <br />Residential Development Feasibility Study <br />and Master Plan. URS is a consulting firm <br />from Chicago that will be conducting a <br />market rate housing analysis, a site analysis, <br />an economic feasibility study and a fiscal <br />impact study for the project. The project <br />includes a ten block area that is part of the <br />West Washington- Chapin Development <br />Area and is just west of the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. The boundaries <br />of that ten block area are from Wayne to <br />LaSalle and from Taylor to Lafayette. The <br />study will evaluate whether market rate <br />housing is viable in that ten block area, and <br />if so, what would the impact be on the city. <br />Proposals were solicited through a RFP <br />process and two proposals were received. <br />After the interviewing process, Downtown <br />South Bend, Inc. recommended the contract <br />be awarded to URS. The cost of the study is <br />18 <br />THERE WAS NO BUSINESS IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />MEDICAL SERVICES DISTRICT. <br />
