Public Hearings (continued...) <br />(5) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 1924 As <br />Amended appropriating monies for the <br />purpose of defraying the expenses of <br />certain local public improvements for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 2002, <br />and ending December 31, 2002, including <br />all outstanding claims and obligations, <br />fixing a time when the same shall take <br />effect. (Airport Economic Development <br />Area) <br />Mr. Rock reported that the appropriation is <br />related to expenses for the Blackthorn Golf <br />Course. It was noted that Mr. Scott Nissley, <br />Meadowbrook Golf Management, was also <br />present to respond to questions by the <br />Commission. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the Public Hearing file <br />was complete and requested that the <br />following items related to the public hearing <br />be entered into the record: Affidavits from <br />the Tri County News and South Bend <br />Tribune that the Notice of Public Hearing <br />was published in those newspapers on <br />November 15, 2002, a copy of the Notice of <br />Hearing and a copy of Resolution No. 1924. <br />Mr. Hunt opened the Public Hearing on PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION No. 1924. <br />Resolution No. 1924 and asked if there was <br />anyone who wished to speak. <br />Mr. Jim Cierzniak of 1156 E. Victoria Street <br />requested a staff report on the economic <br />conditions related to business at Blackthorn <br />Golf Course. <br />A <br />
