South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />corner of Main Street and Jefferson Blvd. A <br />Phase I Environmental Assessment is <br />required as part of the preparations for <br />disposition of the site by the Commission. <br />Grauvogel and Associates performed Phase I <br />Assessments on individual parcels within <br />the development site as they were acquired. <br />Because of the knowledge Grauvogel and <br />Associates obtained during the acquisition <br />process, they are clearly the most qualified <br />firm to complete a Phase I Assessment for <br />the combined site. Staff has reviewed the <br />proposal and found the time frame for <br />completion and fee to be reasonable. Staff <br />recommends accepting the proposal from <br />Grauvogel and Associates in the amount of <br />$2,390. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain Grauvogel and Associates <br />based on the scope of services and fee <br />proposed.
