South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— December 19, 2003 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearings <br />(4) continued... <br />Mr. Case reported that Resolution No. 2019 <br />will add property located at 5949 Brick <br />Road to the Airport Economic Development <br />Area acquisition list. It was noted for the <br />record that the addition of the property to the <br />acquisition list was voluntary by the owners, <br />Robert and Carolyn Gaby. <br />Mr. Rock advised that the Public Hearing <br />file was complete and requested the <br />following items be entered into the <br />record: (1) Copy of the Notice of Hearing; <br />(2) Copy of Resolution No. 2019; <br />Arok (3) Affidavits from the Tri County News and <br />South Bend Tribune that the Notice of <br />Public Hearing was published in those <br />newspapers on December 5, 2003; <br />(4) Statement from staff that affected <br />property owners, registered neighborhood <br />associations and taxing units were notified; <br />and (5) As of 10:00 a.m. this morning, no <br />written remonstrances were received. <br />Ms. Greene noted that Resolution No. 2019 <br />is an amendment to a Development Plan <br />governed by Indiana Code 36 -7 -14 -17.5 and <br />before approving the proposed amendment, <br />the Commission must make the following <br />findings: (1) the amendment is reasonable <br />and appropriate when considered in relation <br />to the original resolution or development <br />plan and purposes of the Redevelopment Act <br />and; (2) the resolution or plan, as amended, <br />conforms to the comprehensive plan for the <br />City of South Bend. <br />Iff <br />
