South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —July 12, 2011 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br />(1) Continued Public Hearing on Resolution <br />No. 2901 confirming a resolution <br />amending the Development Plan for the <br />Northeast Neighborhood Development <br />Area and adopting the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Design Guidelines. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the Public Hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2901 was scheduled for <br />June 28, 2011, but it was discovered that the <br />affected property owners and registered <br />neighborhood associations had not been <br />notified of the hearing. A letter was sent to <br />affected property owners and registered <br />neighborhood organizations on June 30, <br />2011, notifying them of the continued Public <br />Hearing. The Public Hearing was opened for <br />anyone who had come to speak, but <br />continued to today's meeting so that any <br />affected property owners or registered <br />neighborhood organizations could have <br />opportunity to speak. <br />Ms. Jones asked if there was anyone who <br />wished to speak regarding Resolution <br />No. 2901. <br />Mr. Bill Stenz, Northeast Neighborhood <br />Council President, spoke and emphasized <br />that Liz Maradik and the neighborhood is <br />very much in favor of Resolution No. 2901. <br />Ms. Marguerite Taylor, Vice President of the <br />Northeast Neighborhood Organization and a <br />member of the NNRO, spoke and mentioned <br />the fact that this resolution has been in the <br />works for years.
