Consulted with environmental attorneys to <br />pursue our claim filed with Allied Products' <br />bankruptcy. A potential settlement is scheduled <br />to be heard by the court December 16, 2003. <br />23. Worked with staff at the Indiana Department of <br />Revenue to collect information needed to <br />determine baseline for sales tax increment and <br />state income tax increment in CRED district. <br />24. Received $500,000 TCSP grant from Department <br />of Transportation for infrastructure <br />improvements for the Studebaker /Oliver project. <br />25. Handled cleanup from September fire at <br />Stamping Plant. <br />26. Created specifications for Stamping Plant <br />Building 86 demolition. Bids will be submitted <br />for partial (fire damaged area) or full demolition <br />of building 86 but will not include subsurface <br />work. Demolition will be bid out in early 2004. <br />27. Submitted $35,000 grant to Indiana Department <br />of Commerce (through Urban Enterprise <br />Association) for nature and extent investigation <br />of source area in the southwest corner of Area C <br />(Oliver). <br />28. Conducted soil sampling for VRP Program (Area <br />C Soils) under Oliver Plow Court and land being <br />sold to Rose Fuel and Hill Truck Sales. <br />29. Submitted $800,000 EDA grant application for <br />infrastructure associated with Oliver Industrial <br />Park. Review of grant took two years - <br />infrastructure need to be built - proposal was <br />revised several times but ultimately EDA turned <br />downed the grant application because we had <br />moved forward with construction of the road. <br />30. Presented Studebaker /Oliver project to Chamber <br />of Commerce Ambassador Club in May. <br />31. Acquired small lot on west side of Franklin <br />Street in area of Stamping Plant. Acquired from <br />Tom Borneman. <br />M <br />
