South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Annual Organizational Meeting—January 2, 2004 <br />5. SET REGULAR MEETING TIMES <br />FOR 2003. <br />Mr. Rock noted that unless otherwise <br />scheduled the meetings for 2004 will be held at <br />10:00 a.m. on the first and third Fridays of <br />every month, beginning January 16. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Regular Meetings of the Redevelopment <br />Commission for 2004 were set for the first and <br />third Friday of each month at 10:00 a.m. local <br />time, beginning January 16. <br />6. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. Rock reported on the progress made in <br />2003 by the Redevelopment Commission and <br />staff. It was a very successful year despite the <br />sudden loss of Mr. Jon Hunt, Executive <br />Director, who is greatly missed by the entire <br />staff. <br />Studebaker Corridor Project <br />1. Completed second and third phase of Oliver <br />demolition - 935,000 s.f. and underground <br />foundations. <br />2. Completed interior demolition of Oliver <br />boilerhouse. <br />3. Completed exterior renovation of Oliver <br />boilerhouse - masonry stabilization and repair, <br />smokestack repair, new windows, new roof. <br />4. Sold first parcel of land in Oliver Industrial Park. <br />Rose Fuel & Materials purchased boilerhouse <br />and 4.84 acres of land. Rose is constructing its <br />office in former boilerhouse, 15,000 s.f <br />maintenance building and storage yard.
