South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting—February 20, 2004
C
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
A. Public Hearings
(9) continued...
public improvements for the fiscal year
beginning January 1, 2004, and ending
December 31, 2004, including all
outstanding claims and obligations, fixing
a time when the same shall take effect.
(Fund 425, Leighton Plaza Courtyard and
Retail Space)
Mr. Williams reported that Fund 425
encompasses the Michigan Street retail
shops. There was a vacancy in 2003, as well
as an abatement, both affecting the budget.
The forecast for 2004 is twelve months of
totally occupied space. Revenues have
increased by $11, 500 and expenses have
increased by approximately $6,000. A copy
of Fund 425 Building Operations Budget is
attached to Resolution No. 2043.
Mr. Inks advised that the Public Hearing file
is complete and requested the following
items be entered into the record:
(1) Affidavits from the Tri County News and
South Bend Tribune that the Notice of
Public Hearing was published in those
newspapers on February 6, 2004; (2) Copy
of the Notice of Hearing; and (3) Copy of
Resolution No. 2043.
Mr. Hunt opened the Public Hearing on
Resolution No. 2043 and asked if there was
anyone from the public who wished to
speak. There being no one from the public
who wished to speak regarding Resolution
No. 2043, Mr. Hunt closed the Public
Hearing for whatever action the Commission
wished to take.
11
PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 2043
APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF CERTAIN LOCAL
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2004, AND ENDING
DECEMBER 31, 2004, INCLUDING ALL
OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS, FIXING
A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
(FUND 425, LEIGHTON PLAZA COURTYARD AND
RETAIL SPACE)
