Airport Economic Development Area <br />(3) continued... <br />Mr. Williams reported that the title search is <br />in preparation for possible acquisition of <br />property located at 23931 Brick Road in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. Staff <br />received one (1) bid in the amount of $100 <br />from Meridian Title Corporation. Staff <br />recommends accepting the proposal from <br />Meridian Title Corporation. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area and <br />authorized staff to retain Meridian Title <br />Corporation based on the scope of services <br />and fee proposed. (Title work, 23931 Brick <br />Road) <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Appraisal services, 23931 Brick Road) <br />Mr. Williams reported that the property is <br />being considered for possible acquisition. <br />Bids were requested from three (3) MAI <br />certified appraisers. The two proposals <br />submitted are as follows: <br />R. E. Pitts & Associates, Inc. $2,250 <br />Jerome E. Michaels, MAI $1,500 <br />Two appraisals are required to establish fair <br />market value and staff recommends <br />accepting the proposals from R. E. Pitts & <br />Associates and Jerome E. Michaels, MAI. <br />12 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO RETAIN MERIDIAN TITLE <br />CORPORATION BASED ON THE SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />AND FEE PROPOSED.
