Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2048 related to acquisition <br />of property in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area by eminent domain. <br />(718 E. Ohio Street) <br />Mr. Williams reported the Resolution <br />No. 2048 sets the offering price for property <br />located at 718 E. Ohio Street within the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. Staff <br />obtained two separate appraisals with an <br />average price of $42,750. The structure is <br />currently vacant and acquisition at this time <br />will eliminate potential future relocation <br />costs. <br />Mr. Hunt asked why the Commission was <br />acquiring the property. <br />Mr. Williams responded that property was <br />being assembled for a proposed sports <br />complex in the area that will compliment <br />and expand South East Park. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2048 <br />related to acquisition of property in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area by <br />eminent domain.
