Redevelopment Commission Meeting
Regular Meeting — June 18, 2004
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
F. Airport Economic Development Area
(1) continued...
Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by Mr.
Kahn and unanimously carried, the
Commission accepted for filing Resolution
No. 2064 and set a Public Hearing for July 2,
2004 at 10:00 a.m.
(2) Commission approval requested for
Resolution No. 2066 approving the transfer
of real property related to the Fisery
retention project and approving the
execution of documents related to the
project (Airport Economic Development
Area)
IL Mr. Rock explained that Resolution No. 2066
transfers some property to Moreau Court
Investments so they can build some extra
parking lots for their tenant, Fiserve. This
transaction helps to retain Fiserve's 195 jobs
with an average salary $35,000. The property
was previously used by Trinity Health Systems
so was not generating property taxes for the
city. With Fiserve as the tenant it will be
paying taxes of approximately $215,000 per
year.
Ms. Greene noted that the additional parking
could not be accommodated on the existing
property and as such, further development of
the adjacent site was restricted. Transfer of the
additional property for this purpose specified is
consistent with the Airport Economic
Development Area Development Plan.
14
COMMISSION ACCEPTED FOR FILING
RESOLUTION No. 2064 AND SET A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR JULY 2, 2004 AT 10:00 A.M.
