A <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —July 2, 2004 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by Mr. Blake <br />and unanimously carried, the Commission approved <br />the Claims submitted July 2, 2004, and ordered the <br />checks to be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing <br />(1) Public Hearing on Resolution <br />No. 2064 amending the Airport <br />Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan. <br />Ms. Hughes explained that Resolution <br />No. 2064 will amend the Airport <br />Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan to add 25 properties <br />to its Exhibit "A ", List of Properties to <br />be Acquired. The properties will be used <br />for the expansion of the Bosch Corp. <br />facility. There is no right of eminent <br />domain in an economic development <br />area. The staff proposes to make offers <br />on the property and attempt to reach a <br />negotiated agreement with the owners <br />for the purchase of their property. <br />The goals for the development area <br />include encouragement of business <br />3 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THECLAIMS SUBMITTED <br />JULY 2, 2004, AND ORDERED THE CHECKS TO BE <br />RELEASED. <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS. <br />c, <br />
