Redevelopment Commission Meeting
3
Rescheduled Regular Meeting —October 8, 2004
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
E. Airport Economic Development Area
(9) Commission approval requested for
Proposal for infrastructure development
services in the Airport Economic
Development Area (U.S. 31 Industrial
Park)
Mr. Schalliol noted that in the Contract for
Sale of Land with the Woodwind and the
Brasswind, the Commission agreed to extend
a storm sewer line across the northern edge
of the U.S. 31 Industrial Park (in a utility
easement) to connect the subject
development to the stormwater detention
pond located 400 ft. east of the project site.
Majority Builders has submitted a proposal
to construct the infrastructure for a fee of
$19,279. Staff recommends accepting the
proposal with a not -to- exceed amount of
$25,000.
Mr. Hunt asked if the 25% contingency
amount wasn't a bit high. Mr. Schalliol
responded that the work shouldn't exceed the
proposal amount, but he didn't want to have
to come back for an amendment.
Ms. Greene noted that what the Commission
will be approving is the amount quoted in the
proposal and also allowing the staff to
approve unanticipated expenses in an amount
not to exceed $25,000.
Mr. Schalliol explained that there are some
elevational issues and drainage issues that
may have to be done additional to the work
proposed.
IL 24
