Redevelopment Commission Meeting <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting— October 8, 2004 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />E. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(5) continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the amendment to <br />contract for paving services in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. (Lathrop <br />Drive) <br />(6) Staff report on acquisition of property in <br />the Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(23931 Brick Road, Jim & Donna Gregar) <br />Mr. Williams noted that that Commission <br />sent a purchase offer to Jim & Donna Gregar <br />in the amount of $132,500, based on the <br />IL average of two independent appraisals. They <br />have submitted a counter offer in the amount <br />of $135,000. That amount is equal to the <br />higher of the two appraisals. Staff <br />recommends accepting the counter offer, <br />contingent upon successful annexation of the <br />property into the City of South Bend. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the counter offer of <br />$135,000 from Jim and Donna Gregar for <br />property located at 23931 Brick Road in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(7) Filing of Resolution No. 2090 amending <br />the Airport Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan and setting a Public <br />Hearing on Resolution No. 2090 at 10:00 <br />a.m., October 22, 2004. <br />L 22 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE AMENDMENT TO <br />CONTRACT FOR PAVING SERVICES IN THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br />(LATHROP DRIVE) <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE COUNTER OFFER OF <br />$135,000 FROM JIM AND DONNA GREGAR FOR <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 23931 BRICK ROAD IN <br />THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br />
