South Bend Redevelopment Commission L� Regular Meeting —April 1, 2005 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) D. South Bend Central Development Area (2) continued... authorization to advertise the property located at 129 S. Michigan Street in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News with publication dates of April 1 and April 8, 2005. Bids will be publicly opened on May 6, 2005 at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Redevelopment Commission. Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the Commission authorized publication of the Notice of Intended Lease of Property in the South Bend Central Development Area with publication dates of April 1, 2005 and April too, 8, 2005, and receipt of Bids at 10:00 a.m. on May 6, 2005. (129 S. Michigan St.) (3) Commission approval requested for proposal for structural audit of the Osco Building in the South Bend Central Development Area. Mr. Mathia reported that Wightman Petrie, Inc. has submitted a proposal to provide a cursory structural audit of the Osco Building. The purpose of the survey is to determine the feasibility of constructing a second floor on that building. The audit will be preliminary in nature and may require some initial drilling in the floor of the basement to determine the strength of the building's footings and the stability of the soil under the building.
