South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />L� Regular Meeting —April 1, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />D. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />authorization to advertise the property <br />located at 129 S. Michigan Street in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County <br />News with publication dates of April 1 and <br />April 8, 2005. Bids will be publicly opened <br />on May 6, 2005 at the regularly scheduled <br />meeting of the Redevelopment Commission. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized publication of the <br />Notice of Intended Lease of Property in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area with <br />publication dates of April 1, 2005 and April <br />too, 8, 2005, and receipt of Bids at 10:00 a.m. on <br />May 6, 2005. (129 S. Michigan St.) <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for structural audit of the Osco <br />Building in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />Mr. Mathia reported that Wightman Petrie, <br />Inc. has submitted a proposal to provide a <br />cursory structural audit of the Osco Building. <br />The purpose of the survey is to determine the <br />feasibility of constructing a second floor on <br />that building. The audit will be preliminary <br />in nature and may require some initial <br />drilling in the floor of the basement to <br />determine the strength of the building's <br />footings and the stability of the soil under the <br />building.
