South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — March 18, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />F. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />intersection improvements at Bendix and <br />Voorde and the creation of a right hand turn <br />lane for large trucks from east bound Voorde <br />to south bound Bendix. <br />The proposal contains a not -to- exceed fee of <br />$138,200. Staff requests that an additional <br />$11,800 be added to the project proposal to <br />cover any contingencies in the design or <br />surveying process for a revised not -to- exceed <br />amount of $150,000. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved a proposal from <br />Abonmarche Consultants, LLC to provide <br />engineering services for the Bendix Drive <br />Rehabilitation project in the not to exceed <br />amount of $150,000. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for maintenance services at <br />Blackthorn Golf Course. (bunker <br />renovation improvements) <br />Mr. Quickstad, Superintendent at Blackthorn <br />Golf Club, addressed the Commission. <br />Blackthorn previously started a bunker <br />renovation project at the golf course. With <br />ninety -six bunkers at Blackthorn, the crew is <br />not keeping up. Mr. Bob Sanko has been <br />highly recommended by Meadowbrook and <br />has completed other courses for them. <br />Permission is requested to hire Mr. Sanko for <br />a bunker renovation project between holes <br />number fourteen (14) and fifteen (15). <br />13 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED A PROPOSAL FROM <br />ABONMARCHE CONSULTANTS, LLC TO PROVIDE <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE BENDIX DRIVE <br />REHABILITATION PROJECT IN THE NOT TO <br />EXCEED AMOUNT OF $150,000. <br />
