South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Two appraisals are required. Staff <br />recommends accepting the appraisals from <br />R. E. McCloskey and R. E. Pitts in the <br />amounts of $3,000 and $2,700 respectively. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain R. E. McCloskey & Associates, <br />Inc. and R. E. Pitts & Associates, Inc. based <br />on the scope of services and fee proposed. <br />C D. Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2168 approving and <br />authorizing the execution of an Agency <br />Agreement by and between the South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission and the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of <br />Public Works relating to the real property <br />and improvements located at 1315, 1303, <br />and 1321 -1323 South Michigan Street. <br />(Sample -Ewing Development Area) <br />Mr. Greene reported that Resolution <br />No. 2168 authorizes the execution of an <br />Agency Agreement with the Board of Public <br />Works related to three (3) properties on <br />South Michigan Street. The properties are <br />owned by Mr. Arthur T. Ford and Linette L. <br />Ford, husband and wife. Mr. Ford is a <br />principle in J. R.'s Kitty Kat Lounge, Inc., a <br />business which was previously operating on <br />15 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO RETAIN <br />R. E. MCCLOSKEY & ASSOCIATES, INC. AND <br />R. E. PITTS & ASSOCIATES, INC. BASED ON THE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE PROPOSED. <br />
