South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting May 20, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Tax Abatements <br />(2) continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2165 <br />approving an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 715 and <br />717 Hill Street in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. (South <br />Bend Heritage Foundation) <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2166 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />for property located at 902 Notre Dame <br />Avenue in the Northeast Neighborhood <br />1 Development Area. (Scott and Janet <br />Jessup) <br />Mr. Schaffer reported that Scott and Janet <br />Jessup will construct a new home located at <br />902 Notre Dame Avenue. The home will be <br />approximately 3,700 square feet and have <br />four bedrooms and four baths. The cost of the <br />home will be approximately $450,000. <br />A review of the tax abatements previously <br />granted finds that Scott and Janet Jessup have <br />not been associated with any previous tax <br />abatements. The building commissioner has <br />reviewed the petition and finds the property <br />to be properly zoned for the proposed use. A <br />review of the South Bend Redevelopment <br />designation areas finds that the property is <br />located in the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Development Area, which is a Tax <br />Incremental Allocation Area; therefore, the <br />petition for real property tax abatement must <br />C, 11 <br />
