West Washington- Chapin Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2182 related to acquisition <br />of property in the West Washington - <br />Chapin Development Area by Eminent <br />Domain. (428 W. LaSalle) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that Resolution No. 2182 <br />authorizes the sending of a purchase offer in <br />the amount of $39,000 for property located at <br />428 W. LaSalle Street to James McCune. <br />The property housed the business, Basic <br />Machine. The resolution also authorizes the <br />use of eminent domain if needed to acquire <br />the property. 428 W. LaSalle was added to <br />the West Washington- Chapin Development <br />Area by Resolution No. 2064 on July 16, <br />2004. <br />40�1 The purpose of the acquisition is to remove a <br />blighting and non - consistent land use from <br />this residential area. Once the sites are <br />cleared the property will be offered for <br />residential development. <br />I. South Side Development Area <br />There was no business in the South Side <br />Development Area. <br />J. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br />There was no business in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />7.
