South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — September 2, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />F. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />allowed for in the Blackthorn Corporate Park <br />in the Crescent at Blackthorn. <br />The Redevelopment Commission owns four <br />of the lots to be rezoned. All four properties <br />are undeveloped. The other three lots are <br />owned by private entities. Two of them are <br />developed. <br />Staff recommends rezoning the seven <br />properties to L -1 -Light Industrial to create <br />more opportunities for a greater number of <br />uses while upholding the intent of the <br />Blackthorn Corporate Park. There is no <br />concern of undesirable uses permitted under <br />the L -1 designation due to the restrictions of <br />' the covenants of Blackthorn Corporate Park. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized the rezoning of <br />seven parcels in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (Crescent at Blackthorn) <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />Certificate of Completion in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. (3950 <br />William Richardson Court) <br />Mr. Witwer noted that the Contract for Sale <br />of Land for 3950 William Richardson Court <br />requires the Commission to furnish a <br />Certificate of Completion upon satisfactory <br />completion of Phase I of this project.
