Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Robert Huckins for his property at 1010 <br />Prairie Avenue, known as Huckins Tool & <br />Die. The proposed offer is based upon the <br />average of two appraisals which are offset <br />against the cost of remediating certain <br />environmental conditions existing on the <br />property resulting in a net value for the <br />property of $0. Staff recommends that the <br />Commission approve a de minimis offer to <br />the property owner and requests approval to <br />send a purchase offer in the amount of $10. <br />The owner is aware that this offer will be <br />forthcoming. <br />ILUpon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2186 <br />related to acquisition of property in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area by <br />eminent domain. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Staff report on disposition of property in <br />the Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Lots 4 -6, U.S. 31 Industrial Park) <br />Mr. Schalliol explained that on June 4, 2005, <br />the Commission approved a proposal from <br />GrubbjEllis /Cressy & Everett to purchase <br />Lots 4 -6 for the sum of $378,000 and legal <br />counsel began negotiating a Contract for Sale <br />of Land with the developer with input from <br />staff. <br />During the course of the developer's pre - <br />4 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2186 <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA BY <br />EMINENT DOMAIN.
