South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — November 18, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Title work, seven East Bank parcels) <br />Mr. Williams noted that the seven East Bank <br />parcels are the Sycamore St. parcels the <br />Commission wanted to make available for <br />development in conjunction with the offering <br />of the Rink Riverside site. Staff requested a <br />proposal from Meridian Title for title search <br />updates on the parcels. Meridian quoted a <br />fee of $100 per parcel for a total of $700. <br />Staff recommends accepting the proposal. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded <br />IL by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area and <br />accepted the proposal from Meridian Title <br />for the scope of services and fee proposed. <br />(5) Staff report on disposition of property in <br />the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. (Wayne St. Garage retail space) <br />Mr. Williams noted that Brenda Markin of <br />the State Cafe has submitted a letter of intent <br />to lease the retail space in the Wayne Street <br />garage for five years, four months. The lease <br />rate proposed is as follows: <br />Months 1 -4: $0 per square foot <br />Months 5 -12: $5.00 per square foot <br />Months 13 -24: $6.00 per square foot <br />Months 25 -36: $7.00 per square foot <br />Months 37 -48: $89.00 per square foot <br />►/ 12 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSAL FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />AND ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM MERIDIAN <br />TITLE FOR THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />PROPOSED. <br />
