APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONY.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by Mr. King <br />and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the <br />Claims submitted August 3, 2007, and ordered checks to <br />be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Con- imunications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearings <br />(1) Continuation of 7120107 Public Hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2354 expanding the <br />boundaries of the Airport Economic <br />Development Area., expanding the <br />allocation area for purposes of tax <br />increment financing and amending the <br />Airport Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan. Aiding Miami <br />Corridor to the AIA <br />Mr. Inks Doted that considerable comments <br />were made during the public hearing last <br />meeting, and after discussions with the <br />Mayor and Common Council, staff <br />recon- emends the AH-port Economic <br />Devclo meat Area not be expanded to <br />include the Miami Corridor. Instead, staff' <br />requests authon'zation to investigate <br />establishing the Miami Corridor as an Urban <br />Renewal Area. The purpose is to continue <br />the Facade Matching Grant program in the <br />Commercial Corridors.
