Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />industrial uses of the area.. <br />The expanded AIA will also include the <br />Ma ycrest ur ich area which is the area <br />bounded by Washington St. on the north, <br />Western Ave. on the south, olive on the west <br />and Circle and Cherry St. on the east. It <br />includes such properties as Hury ich Iron, the <br />Marycrest Bldg, Goodwill Industries, and the <br />industries on the west side of Olive St. The <br />Findings of Fact for this area are also <br />consistent with those established for the <br />Airport Economic Development area when it <br />was designated, including 1 encouraging <br />commercial and industrial development, <br />creating more job opportunities, and <br />increasing the local. tax lase; 2 evaluating <br />future possibilities of economic development <br />and redevelopment in current industrial sites <br />and environmental impacts that might exist at <br />these locations by creating an inventory of <br />existing uses and structures along with an <br />environmental evaluation of each; and (3) <br />assisting and creating developable sites for <br />future development or rehabilitating existing <br />facilities for future development through site <br />assembly and environnnental cleanup. <br />Resolution No. 2348 will also consolidate the <br />Sample - Ewing Development Area into the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. The <br />Findings of Fact for the Sample-Ewing <br />Development consolidated area are as <br />follows: l providing new and public <br />infrastructure to new development sites and <br />rehabilitate deteriorated infrastructure to <br />usable sites; remediate environmental <br />
