Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Mr. 'eczkows is what about the <br />Hurwiclaryerest area` <br />Mr. Inks: 'There may be a portion of that area <br />that may be generating some increment. The <br />north portion of the H rwich area is <br />currently in the west Washington <br />Development Area.. We haven't looped at <br />the individual parcels to determine <br />increment. I thinly the general consensus is <br />that there's very little, if any, positive <br />increment being generated in that area <br />because it's primarily older industrial <br />buildings that have not been reinvested in <br />during the last few years. The southern <br />portion of the Hurwlch area is not currently <br />in any development area., so it's not <br />generating any increment at this point. <br />Mr. Feez owsl is would Goodwill, being <br />nor- profit, will it ever generate` Can it be a <br />ontrltor <br />Mr. Inks: As a non - profit, if they are not <br />paying property taxes, then, no, it will not <br />generate any increment. <br />Mr. eczowsli : 'Then what is the strategy <br />here? All I'm seeing is that we're taking a <br />good investment and cobbling three "Iffy" <br />investments with the hope that the good one <br />will pick p the three bad. <br />Mr. Inks: I thinly the emphasis here is, in <br />looping at the success of the development on <br />the north side, outside the inner city area of <br />10 <br />
