As volunteers,, <br />Commissioners have limited control over what <br />happens. She 'sees Commi.sswners as performing <br />ei.tz en oversight. While we are happy to have <br />people eons ke and watch the process, she doesn't <br />believe it's a public a forum as are the City <br />Council meetings or Mayor's input sessions. <br />M.s. Wolfson said that she believes the Community <br />Forum does understand that, but what they've <br />come to understand, especially this last year, is the <br />tremendous importance of this Commission. The Commissioners should represent their <br />appointing entitles. She believes Commissioners <br />should meet with those entities to get input and <br />feedback about what they want. <br />Mr. I ee l ows i asked if Mr. Downes, Mr. Ding, <br />and Mr. Blake were also invited to the LaSalle <br />Square meeting. Ms. Jones responded that they <br />were all invited. It Just happened that only she and <br />Mir. Pee loo rski were able to attend. <br />Mr. Blake stated that the Commission may need to <br />changes As procedures now that the Community <br />Forum wants to participate as a grass roots <br />organization. The communication senses an <br />attitude that the Commission doesn't want the type <br />of participation that we're talking about. If our <br />9 <br />
