South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -April 5, 2007 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />J. Other <br />() continued... <br />department owned property, who gave the <br />staff report. <br />Ms. Jennings noted that the city has moved to <br />centralize its system for property <br />maintenance for all city properties. <br />Redevelopment properties were part of a <br />larger package that was put out for bid by the <br />Board of Public Works. CFH Landscaping <br />Services was the low bidder. Rede- <br />velopment's cost for 2007 is $27,866 for <br />maintenance and mowing of approximately <br />124 properties from April through <br />November 30. This is a significant reduction <br />from the cost of $32,423 in 2006 (a $4,557 <br />savings), although there are 39 additional <br />properties. Staff requests allocation of these <br />funds for maintenance of Redevelopment <br />owned properties. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked what CFH <br />Landscaping's structure is---is it anon-profit, <br />is it a corporation? <br />Ms. Jennings believed it was anon-profit, <br />being part of the Center for the Homeless. <br />Mr. Inks agreed. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked how she would <br />account for the decrease? What was cut? <br />Ms. Jennings responded that she compared <br />services and did not see any reduction in <br />services, only in price. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked how she accounts for <br />35 <br />
