South Bend Central Development Area <br />continue ... <br />Ms. Cannoot noted that she is a lifelong <br />resident of South Bend. She also noted that <br />there is much yoga being taught in South <br />Bend, but there isn't a central location for all <br />the teaching. She hopes to offer that at her <br />center. <br />Mr. King asked how many total instructors <br />Ms. Cannoot expects to have. Ms. Cannoot <br />responded that she has letters of interest from <br />eight to ten instructors which should allow <br />her to hold classes through the day. She <br />hopes to start with a morning class, a <br />lunchtime class and one or two evening class. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked the size of the space <br />and whether Ms. Cannoot would use it as one <br />room or divide it into smaller spaces. Ms. <br />Cannoot responded that she would at least <br />divide out an office for herself. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked what other services <br />would be offered. Ms. Cannoot responded <br />she expects to have massage and maybe, <br />eventually, some acupuncture. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Letter of Intent <br />with Brooke Cannoot and authorized staff to <br />negotiate a lease for the retail space at 117 S. <br />Michigan St. which will be brought back to <br />the Commission for approval. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE LETTER OF INTENT <br />WITH BROOKE CANNOOT AND AUTHORIZED <br />STAFF TO NEGOTIATE A LEASE FOR THE RETAIL <br />SPACE AT 117 S. MICHIGAN ST. WHICH WILL BE <br />BROUGHT BACK TO THE COMMISSION FOR <br />APPROVAL <br />27 <br />
