South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —June 28, 2011 <br />total facility, the retreading facility and <br />employment currently located in Mishawaka. <br />This will help both Premier and Best One <br />Tire continue to grow. <br />Mr. Downes questioned whether there were <br />any environmental issues involved with the <br />retreading of the tires. Mr. Deahl responded <br />there were not, to his knowledge. <br />Mr. Yoder responded as well that there really <br />are not any environmental issues. <br />Ms. Jones noted, in addition to Ms. Hahn's <br />report, that the existing taxes that will be paid <br />is $342,024. It's important to note that the <br />abated taxes are new taxes that would be <br />assessed. The business continues to pay the <br />taxes that they've always paid. People <br />should understand that it is a phase -in of new <br />taxes. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Ms. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2913 <br />approving an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 4411 <br />Quality Drive in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (GVW Realty). <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) Agreement for Sale of Land - Jefferson & <br />Niles (Troeger site) with River Race <br />Townhomes LLC. <br />Mr. Relos noted that on June 14, 2011, the <br />Commission was presented with preliminary <br />development plans from David Matthews <br />with River Race Townhomes, LLC, for the <br />Troeger site at the northeast corner of <br />Jefferson and Niles. Included in these <br />17 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION No. 2913 <br />APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR REAL <br />PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 4411 QUALITY DRIVE IN THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />(GVW REALTY). <br />
