<br /> Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotations
<br /> were referred to Engineering for review and recommendation. After reviewing those quotations,
<br /> Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest
<br /> responsive and responsible bidder, Michiana Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $28,285.00.
<br /> Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be
<br /> awarded as outlined above, and the contract be approved. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which
<br /> carried.
<br /> AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — MAYFLOWER ROAD SANITARY SEWER
<br /> PHASE I —PROJECT NO. 109-055 (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TIF/SEWER CIP)
<br /> Mr. Patrick Henthorn, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 23, 2011, bids were received
<br /> and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Henthorn
<br /> recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br /> C&E Excavating, Inc., 53767 County Road 9, Elkhart, Indiana 46514, in the amount of
<br /> $1,868,743.50. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br /> bid be awarded pursuant to funding approval and the Construction Contract approved as outlined
<br /> above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.
<br /> AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — MAYFLOWER ROAD CONSTRUCTION —
<br /> PROJECT NO. 11,0-036 (AEDA TIE)
<br /> Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 9, 2011, bids were received and
<br /> opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Nichols recommended
<br /> that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder C&E
<br /> Excavating, Inc., 53767 County Road 9, Elkhart, Indiana 46514, in the amount of$2,499,736.21.
<br /> Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br /> awarded subject to finance approval and the Construction Contract approved as outlined above.
<br /> Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which carried.
<br /> AWARD BID — FIVE (5) PRE-OWNED 2007 OR NEWER ELECTRIC GOLF CARS (2011

<br /> Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on March 28, 2011, bids were received
<br /> and opened for the above referenced vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br /> recommended that the Board award the contract to the Iowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br /> Professional Golfcar Corporation, Post Office Box 25. Bloomington, Indiana 47402 in the
<br /> amount of$2,750.00 each, plus Options 1& 2 for five (5) at $28.50 each, for a total for five (5)
<br /> of$13,832.50. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br /> bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.
