a <br />Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br />2007 South Bend Common Council <br />The August 13, 2007 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee of <br />the South Bend Common Council was called to arder by its Chairperson, Council <br />Member David Varner at 3:46 p.m. in the Council's Informal Meeting Room, <br />Persons in attendance included Council Members Kelly, Varner, Pfeifer, Kirsits, Dieter, <br />Kuspa, Rouse, and Puzzello; Citizen Member J. Edward Talley, Public Works Director <br />Gary Gilot, Mrs. Kopola, Jamie Loo of the South Bend Tribune and Kathleen Cekanski- <br />Farrand, Council Attorney. <br />Dr. Varner noted that the Committee members include Council Members Pfeifer, Dieter, <br />Kelly and himself; along with J. Edward Talley as the Citizen Member. <br />Bill No 43-07: Request to Vacate Ist EMI Alley north of Northside Boulevard <br />Public Works Director Gary Gilot noted that they have no objection to having a parking <br />lot constructed between the two (2) affected lots which would be subject to the <br />requested vacation. <br />The Council Attorney noted that the Petitioner has requested that this Bill be continued <br />until the August 27, 2007 Council meeting. <br />Citizen Member Talley made a motion, seconded by Council Member Pfeifer that Bill <br />No. 43-07 be continued until August 27, 2007 at the request of the petitioner. The <br />motion passed. <br />Bill No. 07-10'I : Resolution Reqardinq the Purchase of 738 Leland Avenue: <br />Dr. Varner noted that the Petitioner has sent a letter requesting that this Bill be <br />continued indefinitely. <br />Citizen Member Talley made a motion, seconded by Council Member Dieter that Bill No. <br />07-101 be continued indefinitely at the request of the petitioner.
