ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $1,350,000 FOR MAJOR CAPITAL <br /> INVESTMENT PROJECTS IN 2011 <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> Several projects pertaining to economic development, community development, <br /> and structural improvement have been identified of interest and benefit to the City of <br /> South Bend. Among these are: <br /> I. St. Joseph Hospital area site consolidation for economic and community <br /> development investment ($1,200,000); <br /> 2. US 31 Project utility relocation($60,000); <br /> 3. East Bank riverwalk repair of structurally deficient boardwalk support <br /> pylons ($50,000) <br /> 4. Elbel Golf Course water pump equipment replacing inefficient and <br /> obsolete equipment ($40,000); <br /> It is necessary to appropriate the funds to make the above identified capital <br /> investment expenditures. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows: <br /> Section 1. The following sums are appropriated and set aside within the fallowing <br /> City Funds for purposes of capital investments on various projects: <br /> Project Fund $Amount <br /> Site Consolidation Fund 408 EDIT 1,200,000 <br /> Utility Relocation Fund 412 Major Moves 60,000 <br /> Riverwalk repairs Fund 201 Parks & Recreation 50,000 <br /> Equipment Investment Fund 201 Parks & Recreation 40,000 <br /> Totaj.. .... _. _.. ... 1,350,000,.,; <br /> Section H. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />
