drains from springs and swampy areas, manhole cover, cross connections from <br /> storm sewers, and combined sewers, catch basins, storm waters, surface runoff, <br /> street wash waters or drainage. (Inflow does not include and is distinguishable <br /> from infiltration.) <br /> � Inspector means the person or persons duly authorized by the City through <br /> its Board of Public Works to inspect and approve the installation of building <br /> sewers and their connection to the public sewer system. <br /> Instantaneous Limit means the maximum concentration of a ollutant <br /> allowed to be dischar�ed at any time determined from the analysis of anv discrete <br /> or composited sample collected independent of the industrial flow rate and the <br /> duration of the samplin e�vent. <br /> � Interceptor sewer means a sewer whose primary purpose is to transport <br /> wastewater from collector sewers to a treatment facility. <br /> ss Institutional�tUser means any establishment involved in a social, charitable, <br /> religious, and/or educational function which, based on a determination by the City <br /> discharges primarily segregated domestic wastes or wastes from sanitary <br /> conveniences. <br /> tt Interference means a discharge, which alone or in conjunction with a <br /> discharge or discharges from other sources, inhibits or disrupts the POTW, its <br /> treatment processes or operations or its sludge processes, use or disposal; and <br /> therefore, causes a violation of the City's NPDES permit or prevents sewage <br /> sludge use or disposal in compliance with any of the following <br /> statutory/regulatory provisions or permits issued thereunder, or any more stringent <br /> State or local regulations; Section 405 of the Act; the Solid Waste Disposal Act, <br /> including Title II commonly referred to as the Resource Conservation and <br /> Recovery Act (RCRA); any State regulations contained in any State sludge <br /> management plan prepared pursuant to Subtitle D of the Solid Waste Disposal <br /> Act; the Clean Air Act; the Toxic Substances Control Act; and the Marine <br /> Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act. <br /> �uu) Local Limit means specific discharge limits developed and enforced by the <br /> Citv upon industrial or commercial facilities to implement the �eneral and <br /> specific dischar�e prohibitions listed in 40 CFR 403.5(aZl and b). <br /> � May means the indication of a discretionary condition. <br /> a,r n,,,o.,,,� ,,,;ii:,�,..,.,,� r ,.i:+o,. <br /> (ww) Medical Waste means isolation wastes, infectious a�Lnts, human blood and <br /> blood products, patholo�ical wastes, sharps, bodv parts, contaminated beddin� <br /> 8 <br />
